Still Point Architecture began as an architectural design firm in 1997 when the principal, Drew Rose, Architect AIBC, decided that he wanted to move from a large firm where he had worked for eleven years, to set up his own practice. Drawing on his many years of experience as a contractor and builder on the British Columbia coast, Drew began to focus on the design of waterfront and coastal residences.
To date, we’ve been involved in a large number of projects ranging in size and located around the province of British Columbia.
Still Point Architecture has designed residential, vacation and retirement homes, as well as multi-family, commercial, office, resort and educational facilities. We also work on a variety of renovation projects – from large to small (adding space, re-purposing space, and creating the right space for your needs).

We have developed and maintained close ties with many experienced builders and consultants (such as interior designers, landscape architects and engineers) who specialize in remote and coastal construction. It is critical to work with an architect and builders who understand the logistical challenges associated with construction on exceptional sites that are not serviced with utilities and only accessible by water.
As a registered architect, Drew provides you with services beyond the scope permitted for house designers. These construction project services include construction contracts administration, issuing certificates during construction, and coordinating payment schedules between owners and contractors. These services have proved invaluable to clients with busy schedules who often live far away from their project site – and who want and need the job done.
